What was the happiest moment in your life?
The moment I first held Belle in my hand. She was SOOOO tiny and she fit in just one hand. It was instant love <3

Why I Stay Up So Late
I am nocturnal by nature, and it seems that the older I get the later I stay up. It started to really pick up a few years ago when my Mom quit her job to take care of me. Nighttime was the only time I had to myself, not that my mother wouldn’t have given me space if I’d asked-our relationship is a lot more complicated than that- but I noticed,at least on a subconscious level that I...
Silent No More
In the past I have tried to avoid being political or expressing my political viewpoints. Yes, I have on occasion let my anger over a situation or incident boil over into Facebook statuses or Twitter rants, but I’ve kept my opinions to myself on a lot of things. I can’t do that anymore.
President Obama has made me ashamed to call him “President”. From his first few weeks in...

About my new phone, and a plea for technical...
My new phone doesn’t have a physical keyboard, just a virtual one, but it DOES have a program called “Swype” on it that is pretty cool, but takes some getting used to and I wanted to see how easy/hard it would be to compose a whole tumblr post with it, plus it gives me some much needed practice with this technology. In case you’re wondering (not to mention actually reading...

Commercial Observation- Chantix
I’ll probably do a lot of these. There’s a lot of things I notice in commercials that others don’t. My Mom thinks that makes me some sort of genius. I think it’s just part of my excessive weirdness, LOL!
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Chantix- it’s a prescription drug to help people quit smoking. It helped my Dad quit after 50 years of being a heavy...

Contradiction
In the speech President Obama gave Sunday night he made it abundantly clear that Osama bin Laden was NOT a true Muslim. Peace-loving Muslims all over the world say the same thing. I believe that, too. So why did we go to great lengths to make sure OBL’s body was treated in accordance with Islam and his burial at sea was as well? Just find that a weird contradiction.
MLK's words are timeless
“Borrowed” from Karen Philpot
“I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.” Martin Luther King,...
Bin Laden
I know that in the real world politicians and pundits will be fighting it out over who gets the credit for the death of Usama Bin Laden, but it Tippyworld, it doesn’t matter.
No one person should be given credit for this, and to be quite honest, I’m not sure it’s OK to be celebrating death, even for one so evil as he.
The truth is, while one great enemy of our free world is...
Amazing poem/prayer I stole from Ash
Now I lay me down to sleep…one less terrorist this world does keep…with all my heart I give my thanks…to those in uniform regardless of ranks…you serve our country and serve it well…with humble hearts your stories tell…so as I rest my weary eyes…while freedom rings our flag still flies…you give your all, do what you must…with God we live and in...
